Announcing The Hunt with the Official Trailer

We are excited and proud to reveal the trailer for our upcoming animated short film The Hunt, created by Diogo Costa.
The Hunt follows a group of soldiers lost in a dark forest. They have to confront their past traumas and face the mysterious forces that lurk in the shadows.

The trailer introduces the main character, The Sinner, and depicts the eerie atmosphere which is the backdrop for this dark story.

World Premiere at MotelX 2024

The film will have its world premiere at the MotelX - Lisbon International Horror Film Festival in the week of September 10-16th 2024. There it will compete for the Méliès d'argent - Best European Short. We're incredibly excited that the film will screen at an event dedicated to fans of horror. We hope that The Hunt will provide its fair share of scares to the public on the night of the screening.

An International Co-Production

The Hunt was born from the mind of Diogo Costa and became an international co-production with the talented artists he admired. Through a process he refers to as "Guerrilla Animation" the team of The Hunt can achieve a production quality that can rival that of Hollywood productions at a fraction of the budget.

The film is a true collaborative effort between artists from all disciplines in the creative industry.

Together they are able to tackle any complex challenge that is required to realize the ambitious vision for The Hunt.

Since the inception of The Hunt, Diogo Costa has assembled a team of 50+ artists, including some of the best talent in the industry from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Arcane and Love, Death + Robots, to create a truly unique film with a unique approach to animation. The film is an international co-production effort between COLA Animation (Portugal), Studio Kimchi (Barcelona), Studio Unkai (Japan) and Blauw Films (The Netherlands).

We are working on a production documentary that will cover the process and making-of The Hunt, with interviews with the team and breakdowns of how challenging sequences were achieved. We look forward to sharing The Hunt with the world after its world premiere at MotelX. Stay tuned for more updates and behind-the-scenes of this production as we get closer to the premiere.
