We've been working hard on realising our vision for our short sci-fi film Syntactic Labyrinths. This space film requires us to make many different planets and by approaching each one of them in a physically accurate way, you'll get solid results. Uranus is an interesting one as under the heat of the sun it gets completely hazed up in blue'ish methane gas. This makes the planet from our Point of View, one of the blandest looking planets. But it's incredibly interesting in its own right.
In this tutorial we will be going over how to use the Corona Volume Material with a bright white Absorption color and a Uranus Texture map as a Scattering output. We will be covering how to generate a realistic looking atmosphere for this planet. We will also be covering how to use disks with Multi-Instance Cloner objects to create the thick rings filled with particles.
