Red, Green and Blue Diodes for Realism

Achieving photorealistic screen-replacements are one of the most commonly required visual effects shots in any type of production.
When we were approached by Edward Zorab, Mollie Cayzer-Colvin and Jakob Thorhallsson to help out with the screen replacement of their music video for Pip Blom - Daddy Issues, I knew I could implement most of the techniques we developed for Syntactic Labyrinths.

In Syntactic Labyrinths there are quite a few digital monitors, tv screens and old CRT monitors.
To achieve a consistent level of realism throughout the film I developed a robust setup and workflow using RGB Diodes and Light materials.

These results were achieved with the use of our Screen Diodes collection.

Working on the music video was an incredibly fun experience. And the final result truly translates the great vibes that surrounded the production.
